IR-909, v1.0 Beta 3
IR-909 is a drum machine for the iPhone inspired
by the Roland TR-909. IR-909 features a 16-step
sequencer, 4 patterns and 8 different drum sounds.
Beta 3 includes all the previous features from
beta 2, including pitch, attack and length
controls and even some additional ones. The new
features in beta 3 are stereo samples and custom
sample packs. By default IR-909 comes with 6
different sample packs, these include the
original TR-909 pack, TR-808, TR-707 and TR-606
packs, plus two additional ones called "Techhouse"
and "Kärv". Several bugs and has also been fixed
in beta 3 and the ability to change the output
volume has been added. This is done by using the
volume buttons on the side of your iPhone.
The sample packs are located inside the
application bundle in the "samples" directory.
You can easily create your own sample packs with
your favorite samples. Take a look at the
info.plist file located in each sample pack
folder. The file is quite self-explanationary.
To change the value of any property in IR-909,
you press and hold on the property button you
want to change while holding your phone fairly
parallel to the ground and tilt your phone. You
will see the parameter change in the info display.
